LG Optimus 4X HD UK Pre-Orders Announced by Phones4U, Arriving Aug. 27

Independent British retailer Phones4U has announced that it’ll be launching the LG Optimus 4X HD in the UK later this month. Pre-order have begun today with Phones4U also offering the first 50 pre-orders a pair of tickets (worth £100) to see British singer Cheryl Cole  perform live this Fall at the LG Arena in Birmingham. The 4X HD is LG’s international flagship for 2012, sporting a 4.7-inch True HD IPS display, a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 CPU, Android 4.0, and LG’s new Optimus UI 3.0.

Phones4U has stated the phone will be available starting August 27 on all leading UK mobile networks. For those interested in obtaining a free 4X HD, they will be able to nab one on contract starting at £26 per month. SIM-free prices aren’t available just yet, but based on European prices, we can probably expect something in the £450-500 area. The black version of the phone will be offered initially, followed by a white model at a later date.  The  LG Optimus 4X HD originally debuted in Germany a few months ago, so this release only further helps to get the 4X HD a wider European release.
