AsiaToday has heard of a phone called the LG Optimus G, a device made to play with the big boys. It’s supposed to compete with the most powerful phones around, like the HTC One X and the Samsung Galaxy S III.
It’ll allegedly be rocking a 4.7″ TrueHD IPS display, 2GB of RAM, a quad core processor (probably Snapdragon S4, but unknown), and a 13MP camera. While nothing in this phone is particularly better than the Galaxy S III aside from the camera, if if is actually a Snapdragon S4 under the hood, it may very well be more powerful.
As we all know, power isn’t everything. It’ll be topped with LG’s newest UI atop Ice Cream Sandwich, and I have to say their new UI isn’t that bad at all.
This phone could be unveiled at IFA, or it might be saved for later. No one knows. But what do you guys think? Can LG pull off a phone better than the biggest competitors now and sell it? Or will they just end up butchering it somehow? Tell us in the comments!
