This little overlooked gem is launching today, but not many people will care. The specs radiate “low end budget device” which is ultimately what it is. It sports a 2.7″ 320×480 display covered in Gorilla Glass, 2.3 Gingerbread (with no ICS upgrade I assume), an unknown 1GHz processor, a 5MP camera with LED flash paired with a VGA front camera, a big 1700 mAh battery for this kind of phone, and IP67 certification (fully protected against dust and immersion between 15cm and 1m).
It may be very low end, but it does sport a very nice looking keyboard. Of course, the shape of the keys screams Blackberry, but I can’t say that’s a bad thing. If they can pull off the feel, that’d be great for texters who don’t need a quad core processor. However, it does make me wish they made a high end Android device in the shape of a Blackberry Torch with a great QWERTY keyboard. It’s a dying breed, but the QWERTY is still relevant.
