Bell Mobility has officially announced availability for the Motorola Razr V. The mid-range handset is now available to purchase from the Canadian carrier for $29.95 with a new three-year service agreement. If you’re not into the whole commitment thing, you can purchase the device off-contract for $399.95.
The Razr V is essentially a repackaged Atrix HD with less-powerful specs. Users will get a 4.3-inch ColorBoost qHD display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. In terms of storage, you’ll get 4GB of internal memory and up to 32GB of expandable storage via a microSD card slot. There’s also an 8-megapixel rear camera as well as a VGA front-facing camera for video chat.
Motorola’s new skin has made the overall user experience less-intrusive in Ice Cream Sandwich. In addition to the toned-down software, Motorola has opted to use on-screen buttons which give a more natural feel to the entire UI. While there are better (albeit more expensive) options on Bell, the Razr V is a solid handset for the price.
