Nikon Coolpix S800 Could Be Their First Android Powered Camera

In a way, Android is an operating system that can be applied to hundreds of things and one of the huge things is in the camera department. Imagine if a decent camera came out that ran on Google’s Android OS. It seems that Nikon may have that very idea in mind with the latest rumor. A camera that will reportedly be called the Coolpix S800 is said to be in the works and features specs such as a 25-250mm lens, 3.5″ OLED display, GPS, Wi-Fi, Android 2.3, and Google Play app support. If something like this does pan out, I would probably snap it up in an instant for the sheer sake of being able to upload pictures to Instagram straight from a point-and shoot. Are you also coveting a device like this?
