After Google bought Motorola Mobility for a cool $12 billion, they’ve been making some changes and doing some much needed reassigning. The latest thing to change is that Google’s own Punit Soni, who has long been involved in Android and Google Apps, has been appointed as the VP of Product over at Motorola Mobility. The info given for his position on LinkedIn is:
Responsible for all things software at Motorola Mobility
I am a general manager responsible for all aspects of the product development including crafting strategy, building teams and executing to go to market.
Sounds like another bit of good news out of Googorola that should help to get the company back on track to becoming a powerful manufacturer in the Android community as they’ve fallen behind in recent times.
