One of the newer Sprint MVNO’s is Ting and they’ve just announced the latest device to grace their network. The Samsung Galaxy S III is now up for pre-order on Ting in both Pebble Blue and Marble White color choices. The 16GB model will be $529 and more capacious 32GB model will run you $579. Ting also added that a random two of the first two hundred pre-orders will get a complete refund on their device and receive it absolutely free. Sounds like a deal to me.
Ting also took the time to talk about other devices on their network. The price of the LG Optimus Elite is now just $193 and other existing products like the white Samsung Galaxy S II and Huawei Express Mobile Hotspot have also received price reductions. Looking into the future, Ting said that they’re working to get a mid-range LTE smartphone and an LTE hotspot into its product array soon. A Windows Phone device is also in the works for Q1 2013 while Ting is still working to try to offer the iPhone and is apparently beginning to see progress.
So that’s the latest with Ting and it’s good to see that they’re working on their product lineup. It’s also nice to see the Galaxy S III being offered on yet another carrier. Ting’s finally getting a taste of Sprint’s shiny new LTE service and the Galaxy S III is certainly a good phone to kick that off with. Are any of you guys currently on or planning to switch to Ting?
