Android Has 1.3 Million Activations A Day And 480 Million Users

When Eric Schmidt took the stage at the Motorola keynote, he gave a staggering statistic: there are 1.3 million Android activations per day. That brings the Android user base to 430 million users. That’s a huge amount. Also, a not so impressive statistic: 70,000 of those activations a day are tablets. That’s impressive, but not compared to the phone activations. Android’s growth is quite insane, and like Schmidt said, even Google was not expecting it.

Since CrabApple is belly-aching about all the millions they spent on development, maybe they should ditch their iOSlop and go with Android OS. Just think of all the money they'd save and the increased sales they'd have. There would finally be "peace in the valley" as Android and Apple joined hands in singing the Coke anthem, "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing (in Perfect Harmony)

Oh, yeah, and since Samsung is already producing a lot of the Apple hardware, Apple can just slap their label on it (which they already do) charge one hundred bucks more than other phones (which they already do) and collect the profits for doing absolutely nothing (which they already do).
