Apple Co-Founder Speaks Out – Loves Galaxy SIII’s Camera and Hates Patent Dispute

Despite all the ligation from Apple on everything Android, it appears at least one member of the Apple family believes in working together as an industry for the sake of innovation. Yesterday, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak spoke out about the ongoing legal drama between Apple and Samsung. Wozniak is widely known as a tech enthusiast, as opposed to be being pro-Apple only, and he had some interesting words for the way Apple is currently handling its court cases against Android.

When asked by Bloomberg, as to the direction Apple has taken, Wozniak stated - “I hate it. I don’t think the decision of California will hold. And I don’t agree with it – very small things I don’t really call that innovative…I wish everyone would just agree to exchange all the patents and everybody can build the best forms they want to use everybody’s technologies.”

Taking a shot at Apple however, Wozniak then went on to say that he hoped the iPhone 5′s camera truly brings the improvements the Cupertino, California-based company promised. More specifically, Wozniak stated “A better quality on the pictures will mean a lot, because when I show people pictures on my iPhone 4 and my Galaxy S III, they always say the Galaxy S III, or even the Motorola Razr, pictures look better.” Ouch – that has to be something Apple was not anticipating from one of its co-founders.

Wozniak still has plans however on picking up Apple’s latest phone, saying the company took some “important steps” in advancing the latest iteration of their flagship device.

As Android Pit states - 80% of all software engineers don’t even think software should be patent-able at all and are skeptical of Apple’s practices. While Wozniak’s views may seem far from those held by the company he helped form, he’s actually speaking for the majority of developers and innovators out there.

Please keep in mind however that Wozniak hasn’t actually worked for Apple since 1987. He does though still remain on the company’s payroll. What is interesting enough, is that one of the company’s iconic figures has spoken out so loudly against the company that still allows him to live a healthy lifestyle.
