Last week at IFA 2012, iPhone battery pack maker Mophie announced a first for the company – a battery case for an Android device. The first (of hopefully many) Android device to have a custom-built Mophie battery pack will be the Samsung Galaxy S3. According to Mophie, the new battery pack will offer approximately double the capacity of the Galaxy S3′s 2100mAh stock battery. At this point, the design and specs for the device haven’t been finalized but final details are expected soon.
At IFA in Berlin, many played with the prototype, stating it felt well-made, and the design was in line with the S3′s glossy aesthetics. Stay tuned to DroidDog as we will continue to monitor the web looking for any official final details or news coming from Mophie.
