Google VP Speaks On Apple/Samsung Case, Believes They Should Have Patented More IP

Google’s vice president of corporate development David Lawlee sat down and had a nice chat with Bloomberg today, with one of the topics being the recent Samsung/Apple lawsuit. Google believes that Apple’s recent victory is a bit of a wake up call, as they should have been patenting some of their smaller IPs all along.

Lawlee goes on to say ‘We didn’t really believe rounded corners were patentable,” something that Apple has used greatly to their advantage against Android manufacturers. All this means that we could be seeing more patents from Google here on out, something that could help them protect manufacturers from future lawsuits.
