What HTC has done to Android multitasking with Sense 4.x has been a big controversy. Some people don’t mind it, and some people (like me) despise it. Every app you use closing after 5 seconds of being in the background is a bit ridiculous: answering a text kills off the previously used app, meaning you lose progress in your paused YouTube video or any app. It’s not only annoying, but it kills the experience of Android for a power user like me. Feels like I’m back in the iPhone 3G days.
Of course, developers have found a way to reportedly fix it, and restore full use to a great device. In the EVO 4G LTE forums, a user named Cloaker posted a thread with a fix he found. It entails downloading an app called mcTweaker root, granting it root permission, going to memory, hitting cynic killer, and selecting On. Then saving and restarting. For most people in the thread, it made multitasking usable. This might even work on other HTC devices, but no guarantee.
