Leaked Photos and Evidence Suggest HTC Phablet Device Is Real – May Land on Verizon

Last week, a mysterious unknown black HTC phone made an appearance however details were scarce. However, the device has reappeared – now with images that give a solid idea of what the front side of the device will look like. Despite the influx of rumors lately surrounding HTC, the new images do not match up with any existing known devices by the Taiwanese company. Many believe this device will be HTC’s fortray into the Phablet market to compete with Samsung on their massively successful Galaxy Note line. This device is believed to be named the HTC 6435LVW. The images reveals a nice big, wide screen and a front facing camera. You can also tell that the USB port is located at the bottom of the phone instead of on the side like the HTC One phones. There also looks to be a protective rubber guard that breaks the smooth line around the bottom of the phablet.

What readers may find most interesting is that the picture along with a few prior leaks from earlier in the week  – give a solid suspicion that Verizon is giving HTC a shot at selling a competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Note and the LG Intuition on the number one network in the United States. Also leading more credence to the speculation above, Android and Me, has conducted an investigation into the device that further cements the theory that these images are of a 5-inch HTC phablet. With HTC holding an official media event in New York on September 19th, it is very possible that HTC will take the time to announce this new device. Stay tuned to DroidDog for continued coverage of HTC and any new device announcements.
