US Cellular isn’t the biggest carrier in the nation, but that doesn’t stop them from pumping out phones. The carrier has announced that today they will begin carrying the LG Splendor, a low to mid-range Android handset. It has a 4.3-inch display, 1GHz processor, a 5MP and 2GB of internal storage. It sports Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but sadly it only runs on US Cellular’s 3G network.
The phone can be purchased now for $79.99 on two-year contract after a $100 rebate, a little steep for a phone with such weak specs. It’s definitely not the greatest handset ever launched, but we’re sure it will bring in at least a few budget conscious customers. Anyone interested in the LG Splendor?
