Earlier this morning in London, Motorola took the curtains off its Intel powered RAZR device – the Motorola RAZR i. Leaks over the last week have pretty much been spot on regarding the phone’s specs and design however this is the first official confirmation by Motorola. The handset is expected to be the first of a multi-year, multi-device partnership with Intel.
The device will feature a 2GHz Intel processor. will be running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (4.1 Jelly Bean is on the way), and a 4.3inch qHD edge-to-edge display. The phone will also come equipped with a 2000 mAh battery and a 1080p 8MP camera. While this phone offers nothing to really differentiate itself from Motorola’s RAZR M other than the Intel processor, it is unknown at this time if it will make itts way to the U.S. (or future RAZR M models).
The device will launch in the beginning of October with UK partners Orange, T-Mobile, Virgin, Tesco and Phones 4U. Stay tuned to DroidDog for continued coverage of this new Motorola device.
