This is just strange to me. Samsung has tried to sue Apple with valid patents (and they still stand valid). But Apple has come out unscathed. The International Trade Commission says that Apple didn’t infringe on any of Samsung’s four valid patents for one reason: Samsung lacks a domestic industry for these patents. I’m not smart in these deals, so I won’t throw out my opinion (it’s probably wrong!), but it’s up to you to figure out what this means. Is it ridiculous? Or is it fair?
Samsung still has four months while their decision is reviewed, so this is not the end of this. But it’s really too bad, Samsung can’t really win a single thing here in the US.
