Samsung Teases Galaxy Note II Event For Late October

Samsung just sent out a “Save the Date” for October 24th, teasing the “Next Big Thing” with an S Pen front and center. Without any additional details, we’re left to guess what this could be, but we really can’t imagine it being anything other than the Galaxy Note II. Our money is on an US focused Galaxy Note II special event launch and hopefully we’ll get some concrete dates and pricing details this evening as well.

Are you looking forward to the Note II launch? I know we are.

You see I think AT&T did it the right way. They made sure that if you didn't have 4G LTE coverage in your area yet, you could at least fall back to 4G HSPA+? Which is why they put two radios in they're smartphones. Which is also why with AT&T, you could Surf & talk or stream video & text simultaneously. Because you need one radio to do one task & the other radio to do the other task?

I would like it to come out for AT&T exclusively like the original Galaxy Note did? Why come out for Sprint when 99% of the US don't have 4G LTE ? Also Sprint doesn't put 4G Wimax & 4G LTE radios on the same device, which is why you can't make a call & browse the web at the same time. The same thing goes for Verizon, they have plenty 4G LTE coverage but cause they use one radio as well they can't surf the web & make a call at the same time either?

Jmurder209 I am on Verizon and with the HTC ThunderBolt that I used to have, I could talk and use data at the same time in 3G or 4G. Example: I lived in a 3G area where I could hotspot data signal to the laptop and make phone calls at the same time. Hence, it depends on the phone design. Some like the TB have an extra radio which allows data and voice at the same time. However, this is not always the case.

I wonder why the USA is the last to get everything. It will be nice if they released it the same date as the launch date.

smooches680 I think they are cause the Galaxy S III came out pretty much at the same time as the international version did.

Uhhh.... Didn't they already reveal this phone?

Jmurder209 5 pts

Applefangirl Ya, but not for the US?

Jmurder209 So it will be a different phone for the US? Why the secrecy? LOL Just wondering.

Applefangirl No it's the same device but nobody knows what, where or when it's gonna come out? And for what carriers?

@Applefangirl @Jmurder209 It suppose to have the same exact specs as the international so I don't understand why they have to have a separate event, just release it already.
