The Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G has not been much of a secret, but they took their sweet time to announce it. T-Mobile took the wraps off this device today, but did not give a release date or a price. That’s a bit unwise, it doesn’t build excitement or hype. Though this device doesn’t deserve much.
It’s packing last generations Snapdragon S3 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, which is already a disappointment. It also packs the 480×800 Super AMOLED display first used over 2 years ago. Now the good stuff: it has a respectable 1GB of RAM, a full QWERTY keyboard, a 5MP rear camera with a 1.3MP front camera, and Ice Cream Sandwich with Samsung’s newest TouchWiz UI. There is no word on a Jelly Bean update, but it’s possible.
Again, we don’t have a release date, but there are rumors floating around that it is September 19th. While not an impressive phone, by any means, it could be a decent option for someone who wants a cheap phone with a QWERTY keyboard.
