Verizon Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Will Be Receiving OTA 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich Update

Owners of the T-Mobile version of the Samsung GALAXY Tab 10.1 have already received their update to Android 4.0.4, leaving owners of the Verizon variant still waiting for when their units would receive their update. As always, Verizon’s updates never share the same sense of urgency or timliness as its rival carriers. Never the less, the Big Red has updated their product page and shows the update is lsited as “coming soon”.

Software update i905.LP11 is listed as being 248MB and will bring some solid enhancements. First, the update brings the Verizon Samsung GALAXY Tab 10.1 to Android 4.0.4. It will provide a new Quick Panel to help you get to driving mode faster like Samsung’s Galaxy SIII. Pinch-to-zoom has been added in the main menu and in certain home screens emails can now be searched for under date, sender or title. While writing an email, you have two new options which are undo and redo. The photo gallery app has been re-done so that pictures can be resized,  rotated and cropped. The browser now allows you to view pages in desktop mode and as on the Apple iPhone, the rather basic calculator becomes a super scientific calculator when you turn your tablet to landscape.
