Verizon to Lock the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Bootloader

Cue the sad trombone; reliable sources are confirming the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will include a locked bootloader.  This block will “prevent its users from installing proper custom ROMs with kernels and radios”.  There are ways to circumvent the lock as this is not Verizon’s first time doing this to one of their devices.  Just the other month, developers were able to figure out an override to the bootloader to root their Samsung Galaxy SIII.

Even though there is way around the lock, this is still an inconvenience many Verizon customers would like to live without.
