Android 4.1.2 Rolling Out To Galaxy Nexus And Nexus S

Now that the Nexus 7 4.1.2 rollout is well underway, Google is releasing the update to GSM Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S devices. Now all of the current Nexus devices can have the newest version of Jelly Bean (unless they’ve been modified by a carrier). We’re glad to see Google pushing this one out really fast, and it’s fantastic to see the Nexus S stand the test of time for so long. Sure, it should be this way, but it’s still a surprising sight in the Android world.

The 4.1.2 update isn’t massive by any means, but it’s definitely welcome. While Jelly Bean brought expandable notifications, they couldn’t be used with one hand. With this update, they can be used easily with one hand. It’s an intuitive feature that is shockingly simple and effective by Google’s standards. There are other improvements, too. So tell us if you get the update!
