AT&T Cutting Device Return Policy To 14 Days After Purchase

Beginning October 7th, AT&T customers who buy new devices will have 14 days to return them without any penalties. According to an email received by Phonescoop, AT&T says any customer who purchased a device before tomorrow, will continue to have the original 30 days to return the device.

“AT&T has updated its device return policy. Consumer customers will have 14 days to return a device for any reason and cancel service without paying an Early Termination Fee,” said AT&T to Phone Scoop in an email. “While this begins on October 7, AT&T customers will continue to have the option to update their voice and data plans at any time.”

This policy change will not affect AT&T business customers, who still have 30 days to return their devices and cancel service.

Has anyone else noticed that the policies AT&T has been coming out with lately only benefit the corporation and not the customer? (e.g. iPhone users cannot use Facetime unless they get the new shared data plans, reduced number of return days, limited data plans, etc, etc)
