The worst thing that ever happened to me when my phone died... A potential love lost... There was this guy who's name I will say was Josh and we went on a few dates but I ended up taking my ex-boyfriend back, so I basically dissed Josh to get back together with him (big mistake). I didn't do it to be a jerk, I just was still in love with my ex and he suckered me in. To add, I always regretted that decision because I ended up getting dumped by the ex- boyfriend anyway and Josh was a sweet, mature and cute guy who I genuinely did feel a connection with... Several months after I got dumped by the ex, Josh and I reconnected and became cool again, but we didn't talk very often. So one day I had planned to go to Philadelphia to visit a friend and go bar hopping after I got off of work at 8. I knew that Josh partied in Philly every weekend so when I was at work i texted him like hey I'm going to Philly tonight, will you be out there by any chance? He told me yeah and that he would def like to meet up and go out together. I was excited because I thought maybe we could rekindle something and that he would one day trust me fully again... this was my chance! Well I got off of work with my already packed bag in my car and drove straight to my friends house to get all pretty. I thought it was going to be a great night. Everything was going well, I got to her house with no problem, even though it was my first time visiting her there, thanks to the gps on my good old blackberry curve. I knew the battery was low after the drive but it was okay because I had packed my charger in my bag (or so I thought). Like 30 mins into getting there I went to get my phone out of my purse to call Josh. It was dead. I'm like ok let me get my charger. Looking in my bag, don't see it, looking in my purse, not there. I even checked my car thinking maybe it fell out of my bag. Nope. So this is when I start to panic. See this was years ago, when everyone's charging ports were mostly all different sizes besides the iPhone. I had the mini USB port and I asked everyone in the house if they had a charger my size, but no one did. If I knew Josh's number by heart I wouldn't have cared so much because I could have just called him from my friend's phone. If only I had his number. I literally tried everything. I even called my best friend because her boyfriend was an acquaintance of Josh, hoping he had his number or someone he knew did. No luck. And of course it was night time so all electronic stores were closed. Therefore, I never saw Josh that night. When I got home and charged my phone the next day, I had a couple of text messages from the night before from him like, hey are we still meeting up... I'm going to so and so bar, let me know where you'll be cuz I want to see u... Hello. It was sad. I felt horrible and I knew no matter what I said he was going to think I was just dissing him again and making up the worst excuse ever. I mean how many times do ppl use the excuse, "my phone died." It's kind of comparable to, "the dog ate my homework." No one ever believes it, unless the person saying it is a reliable honest person, but Josh was still iffy about me from what I did in the past to him so it was useless. I still texted him anyway and told him what happened and I kept saying sorry. He never called or texted me again, so that marked the true end of any hope I had for me and Josh. I did see him a few times after that in public places but it was awkward, especially this one time when he was with a female who I think was his new girl. This was the worst thing that happened to me when my phone died.

I work 2 hours away from home, so my phone is off the charger 4 hours on top of my work schedule and it always dies before i get home. I missed calls from my family telling me to come to the hospital when my mother found out she had something serious. I hate smartphone batteries, they never last.

It was a bad day to begin with for me. For starters, on September 19th I threw my back out at work. On my way home from the hospital in excruciating pain, my coolant bypass valve went out on my car. I took a quicker route thinking I can get home faster if I went that way but low and behold it turned into a nightmare for me. Here I am stuck on a backroad with severe back pain, so I grab my Motorola Razr and proceed to call home, well I had no signal...upon further inspection my phone switched to super save mode because I had only 10% battery life left. I figure I could turn super-save mode off and call AAA. Just as I got through to someone I told them where I was and then the phone died. I couldn't confirm where I was or anything nor could I call anyone else. I waited two hours before another motorist passed by me and offered to let me use his phone, bad thing is his phone was also dying so all I was able to do was call AAA and confirm where I was so a tow truck can come get me. Needless to say 5 excruciating hours later someone finally shows up to tow my car home. Worst thing of all this was not only my phone dying, but dealing with extreme back pain and trying to take a short cut home off the main road.... Had I taken the main road I'm sure I could have gotten home much faster. Sucks living 32 miles from your job and having to commute with a dead or dying cell phone. These smart phones never seem to stay charged when you need it the most

The worse thing that happened to me was getting a flat on my road bike midway through this windy mountain road and my phone died. I was wearing cleats and it was like walking with high heels but worse. Home was about 7 miles away but luckily a good samaritan stopped by and let me borrow their phone. If I had this back up battery I wouldn't have to be in such despair again!!

Ugh, I hate telling this story.  I live in Manhattan, but work across the river in NJ, using the ferry to commute each day.  The ferry has a really cool app, has the schedule, a bus locator, and the ability to buy tickets!  So I have my monthly pass on the app, I always have my phone with me right?  So one day I got caught in late meetings, and my phone just had no juice left.  I didn't notice that the phone was dead, I was running to catch the last ferry of the night to get home.  I walked down the dock to board the ferry, and of course can't figure out why my screen won't come on.  They don't let me board the ferry since I don't have a ticket!  There isn't even a place to buy a ticket, now I realize that I am not getting home by ferry.  Maybe I can catch the bus?  I head over to the bus stop and see that the next bus is about 45 minutes away, if its on time.  Usually I wouldn't have minded the wait, but I didn't have my phone to keep me occupied!  So because of my dead phone I had a miserable commute home.  If I had only known that there was a good back-up battery for Android phones, that night would have been so different.

I use my smartphone as my alarm clock. I had an important meeting one day at work, and I had gone to sleep late the night before the meeting. I had forgotten to plug in my phone that night, and it died. I woke up late and arrived late to the meet. There were many high ranking officials there (I work for the govt), and I got my ass severly chewed. Lucky I didn't lose my job, but I now use three alarm clocks!

One evening I was on a quest  through the wilderness of Fantastica with my BFF at the time, his name was Atreyu. We were trying to stop this really bad dude who's nickname was The Nothing, he was a nailist that had peed on The Childlike Empress's rug. Anyway, we finally caught up to "The Nothing, and we had a big fight. It was quite an epic battle, which we won. However  during the fight my good friend The Rock Eater was shot. When we tried to call Falkor  to take him to the hospital, I noticed that my battery had died...so did The Rock Eater.  We had him crushed to gravel and spread among the beach because we were pretty sure he liked to surf. A myCharge Summit 3000 could have saved his life. Falkor has gone into a deep depression since. He just lays around all day, licking himself eating Jumbo Beggin Strips. My life was forever changed that day.  - Bastian Balthazar Bux

well i use my phone for all of the paperwork at my job. it was Wednesday before thanksgiving, and i had all the payroll info on my phone. when the boss and i sat down to do payroll, so folks could finish up their shopping, my phone went dead. we were at a location with no electricity, new home construction, and no car charger around. it turned out to be horrible, because we had to wait to drive home, 8 hours away, to be able to do payroll. it was a horrible and long night for the employees. i actually had an employee bring me a car charger the following Monday to work. it was a total disaster.

I had a job interview through the phone last week, my Galaxy Nexus can drain a fully charged battery in 3 hours of web surfing and light gaming. I played so games waiting for the call. Finally after 2 hours the call came and everything was going well until battery warning came. I was begging my phone to hold though, but it did not and my phone shut down mid-interview. Yea I didn't get the job. I did have a separate battery but I still needed the phone to be on. This battery would have literally saved me.

I work at a camp and when I run programs I have down time in between groups so I will pull out of my phone and play a game or something and then one day after I was done running this one program I needed to ask someone else I worked with where some stuff for the next program I was running and I looked down and my phone had died. Not that big but I ended up having to find them and ask them. Even tho I do carry my charger around there is only power to half of the camp and I just happen to be in the woods a lot.

Worst Thing that ever happen to me was back in college, UTEP, my CBR954RR's just didn't wanna start. I tried popping the clutch and jumping it but no dice.it was around 8PM. at the time i had my not so trusty CliqXT. I figured i can call my dad who is a mechanic and he could check it out for me and get it going at least to my house, which is directly up and over the franklin mountains next to UTEP. Well my phone was so dead it wouldn't even try to turn on. So i figured screw it i'll trek it home. well while i reached the top i found out we have mountain lions that sometimes wander close to the suburb. I saw a pretty large lion like figure walking down in front of me towards the houses at the base and disappear into the yards. i didn't really want to go back the other way since i was already halfway home so i kept on my descent. after i reached the base of the mountains my house was about 8 blocks away so i figured im safe, almost there and i did make!!!, i know anti-climactic

I  went fishing with some friends. I forgot the park closed at 9 pm. I was left locked in the park. I started calling my wife and then I call the police. The police told to call the security company. My phone was almost dead. I called the security company and as soon as I hang up my phone die. I was not sure if they we going to call me to verified my location. We waited almost an hour with the uncertainty of not know if they call me or not. I asked one of my friends to go knock on some of the houses near by to call again, but they refused. Luckily they let us out, but it has been the worst thing that has happen with a dead phone.

There was a time when I was in Boston and we were starving and had already made plans to go this to this one restaurant where they had the best wings ever in the area. I used my phone as a GPS since Boston area has a weird road structure that even the GPS had to reroute over and over again. It was a fair distance to the location and half way through the battery died, we had an address and idea of where it was yet we spent too long to find the place. So we ended up getting pizza, my body/appetite never forgave me for it since.

Was attending a conference with a co-worker in March in Alabama. We were at a wooded state park, for fun , staying in a cabin on the lake, for a mountain view. At 3am that night, a tremendous storm came through, with howling wind and rain. The force of the wind was causing the rain to come in through the window seals. It went pitch black, and it was frightfully scary. My phone battery was out of juice. ( Her phone was broken and she had not replaced it yet. ) I would have loved to have had some light from it and to call my husband, and check the weather. It turns out that a tornado had passed over us, and had hit the ground 1/4 mile from us. We were able to borrow a phone from others in an adjoining cabin, but it was soooo dark and spooky until sunrise! I would have loved to have had a MyCharge!

Worst thing that happened to me actually happened to me last week. I went to Wal-Mart to shop for groceries after I got off from my 8-hour shift at work; spent most of my work shift on my phone (hehe). But anyway, after checking out my groceries I needed to call the cab so that I could get home. When I got my phone out to call the cab service I noticed that I only had 1% battery power left. It was so bright outside that I couldn't see the screen ( I own the S3 and had the battery saver on so the screen was dimmed) so I had to try my best to find the number on the yellow pages app. After a minute or so, I found the number and dialed it and as the phone was ringing it suddenly stopped. So, I looked at my screen and noticed that my phone shut down and that I needed to buy a new battery. So I went back inside Wal-Mart and bought a charger and went to the restroom to charge my phone and was able to call them a little bit after. Since then, I take my charger to work or class with me everyday to keep my phone charged. Never hope that happens again because that was a horrible experience.

I went geocaching at dusk in a wooded area I hadn't been to before. I get a couple caches and notice my phone is at 15%.... I then realized I was about 3 miles from my car. It was enough for me to turn around and head in the right direction, but did not last the whole hike back. It was extremely stressful trying to navigate by the stars, but thankfully I made it to my car and home in one piece. Email: sirweezle@Gmail.com

My first visit to New York City I was travelling through the airports and my battery was low. I had placed my charger in my luggage and not my carry on. I had all my itinerary information on my phone and was to call for a ride upon my arrival. When I landed my battery was completely dead and I searched the airport trying to bum a charge for my phone. I finally found a stand that had a cheap charger and I purchased it for 30 plus dollars. It of course had broken before I arrived home. That began my era of two batteries for my phone and multiple chargers.

Left for a party last weekend with my friends knowing my battery was running low (around 20% low) thinking that I would not need to use my phone at all if it did in face die on me. Well, A girl I've been checking out and looking to hookup with decided to text me asking me to come over to her dorm room. I replied back asking what her room number was and right after sending that text my phone died on me...could not find another way to text her as none of my friends had her number and so had to wait it out until we got back to school to charge my phone. Next morning woke up to a text with her room number followed by one that said "guess you don't feel the same way about me as I do you". Dead battery cost me what would have been a solid catch as she didn't believe my dead phone explanation.

I missed a job interview and lost out on what could have been a career making position because the phone died and I couldn't call to be let in.  Yes, I had a car charger, but for some reason the power port on my car was no longer working.  The guy who did get the job ended up being promoted and has a dream job, I am still where I was, and have purchased an extended battery and a spare just to cope.

Worst thing that happened to me is when my phone went dead halfway to Rocklin, CA from Stockton,CA. Apparently the load I was suppose to pick up was cancelled. I had no GPS and the fog was so thick  I couldn't see the road signs and right before I got there the truck broke down. Dead phone destroyed my day.

I flashed a custom ICS rom to my previous phone the MT4G, left for work, driving down the highway someone taps their brakes and we have a giant chain reaction of everyone tapping their brakes that gets more and more severe as it gets further back. by the time it comes to me and those around me we end up tapping each others cars. I get out, the guy in front wants my info, and we realize we will be here for a bit.  I'm trying to call the client to let them know im going to be late and realize my phone has 2% battery left. apparently amazon app store got stuck and drained all my battery, as soon as I start calling the phone dies.... I checker the charger and because the phone was flung around the car during the minor fender bender the wire is pulled out and it refuses to charge definitely wish I had a separate portable charger at that point.
