Google+ App Updated – Support For iPhone 5 and Upgrades For Android

Earlier today, Google has updated its its native Google+ app for both Android and iOS. Both versions have been updated to support multiple Google+ pages. This is great news for owners of multiple accounts as they can view, post, and comment from all their accounts using their mobile devices. This is an addition Google has been speaking about for some time now and is a critical move for the search giant if they plan for Google+ is to take on Facebook from a marketing perspective.

Despite this addition coming on both versions, the update also brings separate additional feature sets. While Google certainly will continue to support Android extensively, the company is by no means disregarding the importance of iOS. Out of the 2 versions, the Android version has arguably received the smaller update. The Android update includes a new home screen widget and the addition of a ‘Find People’ option. Photos can now also be opened with just “1-click”.

The iOS version on the other hand, receives iPhone 5 and iOS 6 support. This however certainly arrives quite late with other social networks like Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, and even Foursquare releasing updated supported versions quite some time ago. Regardless of the iOS device or version you’re using, however, you can now edit your posts and save photos to the camera roll. Oh, and iPad users can now search for people and posts.
