Google Redesigns Its Mobile Site, Makes It Like An App

If you’ve gone to google.com today on your phone, you may have noticed something new. There’s a new design, featuring a sliding black side bar that allows easy navigation to Google’s services. It’s akin to many other of Google’s mobile services, and it’s good to see that Google is unifying its interface. At this time, there are no changes to the site on tablets.

We tested the mobile app on a Galaxy S III, Nexus 7 and iPhone 5, but the new interface didn’t show up on any of them. It will take time for it to roll out everywhere, and many others have reported that it’s showing up for them. Head to google.com on your phone now, and be sure to let us know if it’s working for you.

Did it and it came up once. Signed in, and it went back to the old look after.

You have to clear all stored data for the website (in this case, Google) and you will get the new redesign. try searching something and it'll show you a different interface. Clear the cache and cookies and all that stuff and you should get the new page.
