LG “Nexus 4″ Shows Up In Carphone Warehouse Inventory System

According to a new photo sent to The Verge,  a brand new device labeled the “LG Nexus 4″ is making its way into retailer Carphone Warhouse’s inventory system. The device is listed with two colors options, both white and black, and that’s about as much information as we can discover from this screenshot. Still, the appearance of the “Nexus 4″ isn’t definitive proof of the devices name, as its possible this is just a placeholder for another Nexus device. Another possibility is that the Nexus naming convention is shifting, with the general size of the device becoming part of the name ala Nexus 7. It’s just a working theory, at least for now.

recent set of leaks has suggested that the LG Nexus will be based on their recently released Optimus G device. Such a device would feature a 4.7″ screen with a 1280 x 768 HD resolution, 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and Jelly Bean.

With the one year anniversary of the Galaxy Nexus announcement coming up fast, hopefully Google will take the one-year mark as an opportunity to drop the next Nexus device on us, and we’d be very happy if they did.
