New Samsung Chromebook Powered By The Long Awaited Exynos 5

We’re an Android site. We usually don’t write about things like Chromebooks. But this is an interesting Chromebook, as it is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 5 processor. The Exynos 5 is an A15 based chip with some very impressive specs, including a monster Mali-T604 GPU for some powerful 3D processing.

The rest of the Chromebook is fairly nice, with a dense 11.6″ 1366×768 display, a thin 2.5 pound chassis, 6.5 hour battery life, an HDMI port, and a tiny $249 price tag. I have to say, I’m very impressed. I’m sure the Exynos 5, despite being an ARM chip, will serve it well.

The real question is could we wipe it and flash android on it.

I have a asus transformer and keyboard and hardly ever use the touch screen.

Nice.. I could use something like this... I think  you, the awesome guys at Droiddog should nab a unit for a review and let us know if it's worth buying!

JQuest81 Not quite Android, not quite our job. Though I'd love one!

Man, that thing looks incredible! If only I had decent wifi in my house, then something like this would actually be useful.

SkyPira True, we are all about Google. But our focus is Android. But you're right!
