Rovio Teases Star Wars Themed Angry Birds Announcement On Tumblr
Rovio Entertainment is letting loose an animated GIF that teases my favorite movie of all time paired with one of the most popular mobile games of all time. This Star Wars themed GIF is a little cryptic and definitely doesn’t tell us if we should expect a full-blown Angry Birds style game, or something else entirely, but they’ve got our curiosity. Rovio promises we will find out the answer in Times Square this Monday at 10am EST. Rovio also suggests that we hit Toys R Us at 8am EST on the same day, so perhaps this is nothing more than a new themed plush toy collection.
Whatever this turns out to be, I just hope Rovio doesn’t desecrate the good name of Star Wars, after the prequels I’m not sure how much more disappointment I can handle.

I think they could pull something off if they mixed Angry Birds with Star Wars. ROVIO is like the Pixar of the App world to me. So far everything they released has been fun and impressive to me. For example, I just picked up Amazing Alex when it was on sale for a quarter. Honestly, I didn't think they could pull off a new type of game that wasn't Angry Birds but I was wrong. I probably wouldn't have picked up the Amazing Alex game but I am actually glad I did. It's not like their games are expensive to begin with and most are free so long as you don't mind the ads which aren't too bad in their Bad Piggies game. That game sorta reminds me of the Amazing Alex and Angry Birds all rolled into one. To sum it up, I am excited to see what they have around the corner.
