We previously reported leaked images and specs a few weeks back, however, earlier today Samsung officially lifted the veil off of it’s newest Android smartphone. Truly no surprises here, after the numerous rumors and leaks, the Galaxy Music smartphone is an entry-level handset that features a front-facing speaker design seen in other Samsung devices. The new phone will ship with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich infused with Samsung’s TouchWiz Nature UX. The device comes in 3 colors, silver, blue and yellow, and sports a 3-inch QVGA display.
Currently the official spec list does not reveal what type of processor is powering the device but it is believed to be a single-core processor. In terms of audio support, Samsung’s plugging the phone’s Sound Alive & SRS playback enhancements, as well as support for OGG and FLAC formats and FM radio capabilities.
Samsung also announced the Galaxy Music Duos, a dual-SIM variant which we’d expect to see targeted at emerging markets. Currently there is no word on pricing or availability for either product, but DroidDog will continue to monitor the situation to get you that info.
