Sprint’s LTE Now Available in Chicago, Southern MA, And Other Markets

Earlier today, Sprint announced that its LTE 4G network is now live in multiple new markets throughout the country. This will undoubtedly be great news for customers of the carrier looking to take advantage of their 4G-compatible devices. Sprint customers in Chicago, New Bedford/Fall River, Mass; Hutchinson and McPherson, Kan.; and Wichita Falls, Texas can now all use Sprint’s high-speed 4G network. According to the carrier, its LTE 4G network is now available in a total of 32 markets. With Sprint recently being acquired by Softbank Corp, the carrier is certainly looking to take the fight to the nation’s 2 largest mobile providers in AT&T and Verizon. It will be interesting to see what additional moves will be made in the coming months to help the carrier remain competitive.
