According to a Droid-Life source who provided the above image, Verizon is planning to Google Play carrier billing beginning October 18th. Once the “service” is live, Verizon customers will be able to spend up to $25 per phone in the Google Play store and have it billed directly to their Verizon monthly statement. We’re not quite sure why Verizon is imposing a dollar limit, but perhaps its to limit the number of apps a child can purchase that would lead to upset parents that require Verizon to credit back unexpected purchases.
This is a long time coming for Verizon customers, as other carriers have enjoyed carrier billing privileges for some time. Good news all around.
