DROID RAZR HD And DROID RAZR MAXX HD Receiving Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Next Week

DROID RAZR HD and DROID RAZR MAXX HD users rejoice! According to Verizon Wireless, the DROID RAZR HD and the DROID RAZR MAXX HD are both set to receive the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update next week!

There are many new updates that come along with Jelly Bean:

  • The new Jelly Bean keyboard with much better prediction
  • Improved voice search
  • Google Now, so you can know what the weather is like at the start of the day or whether or not you’ll be running into traffic
  • Actionable notifications where you can send/scan e-mails, answer calls, share photos, view event details, view full images, and more.

Also included, but not mentioned in the support pages, are various bug fixes, improved call and data connectivity, Project Butter to make your phone run buttery smooth, the inclusion of Amazon’s suite of apps, and the removable of certain Verizon bloatware.

The total size of the update is 276 MB, so we recommend that you connect to a WiFi network before downloading the update.
