Gmail Now Allows You To Attach Files Using Drive, Raises 25MB Limit To 10GB

Google continues the tight integration between their services. This time, they have integrated Google Drive into Gmail. As you probably know, if you try to attach files to an email, you’re hit with a 25MB limit. Attaching 10 photos off of a camera after an event is impossible. That painful time is finally over, because you can just press “Insert files using Drive” and upload files up to 10GB. Yes, the limit is now massive.

Gmail will also check if the file is public, and if not, it will ask you to make it public before sending the email. Because Gmail is smart that way.

If you want this feature, you’ll have to have opted in to the new compose feature, which has been rolling out to most people. Just make sure you agreed to it. And this Drive integration will be rolling out over the next few days, so sit tight!
