Motorola got into a little trouble with Immersion over the use of basic haptic feedback technology in their devices, as have numerous other companies. Luckily, Good Guy Google has decided to settle the matter outside of court. While we don’t know the figures, we know that Google will pay for all past and future Motorola shipments using that technology. I like to see this, just settling a court case fairly and without any further legal action. It may have cost them, but I’m sure it costs them less than endless legal action from all sides.
