Google has quite the mess on their hands. Yesterday, when they put more Nexus 4 stock up for sale, Google Play simply couldn’t handle the amount of orders, essentially causing it to crash. Now it looks like Google really drained themselves with that last batch, as shipping times are currently showing 8-9 weeks on Google Play for the 8GB model.

Well, what does this mean? Anyone who is currently looking to get a 8GB Nexus 4 is going to have to wait until the new year. fortunately, the 16GB model is showing shipping times of 4-5 weeks (that’s still not good by any means). It’s almost sad how poor Google’s launch of the device has been, but they could have done much, much more to prepare. There’s a chance that more units could ship within a few weeks, as these are only estimates. But we aren’t putting our money on it.
