International HTC One X Receiving Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean Update

HTC has recently been rolling out Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean OTA updates to unlocked HTC One X’s all around the world.

So far the update has only been reaching CID_038 and CID_044 versions of the HTC One X. Users in India, Argentina, UK, Russia, Dominican Republic, Peru, Brazil and Sri Lanka should have received the OTA update already, and soon the update will spread to even more markets.

The update starts off with a small 1.6MB update, and then jumps ahead to a 364.54MB update, so you might want to be connected to WiFi. This update brings HTC Sense 4+ to the HTC One X as well as improved battery life and an improved landing page in the gallery.

Unfortunately, this update seems to only be hitting the unlocked HTC One X’s and those of you who have the HTC One X on a carrier may have to wait until the beginning of 2013 before you receive your update.

I think my next phone will be an unlocked one. As much as I love the one x 6 months + to roll out an update is a bit much and no, I will not be getting an iPhone. Been there, done that, (bored of that...).
