According to a South Korean publication that is known for leaking news related to Samsung and LG technology, LG is planning on releasing a smartphone that will rival, if not surpass, the Samsung Galaxy SIV.
The new smartphone, called the LG Optimus G2, is rumored to contain specs worthy of a high-end smartphone. The specs it will have include:
- 2.0GHz quad-core processor
- 5-inch 1080p screen with 440 ppi pixel density
- 2GB of ram
- 13MP camera
- Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.
The LG Optimus G2 is rumored to launch in the second half of 2013, but if the competition is fierce, LG will release it in May 2013.
Of course these are all just rumors, so take it with a grain of salt. However with Sony’s flagship handset, the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy SIV, and the supposed LG Optimus G2, 2013 is looking to be a very promising year for smartphones.
