Motorola’s DROID RAZR M was released on September 13th with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. A Jelly Bean update was promised by Motorola but no one would have guessed that only a few months later would we be seeing the update go live. Well earlier this morning Motorola approved the Jelly Bean update for the DROID RAZR M sporting build number 98.12.4.
At the moment the update is rolling out to some soak testers now, however, if the test goes well, all RAZR M owners could see it soon. As is expected the update includes Google Now, an improved keyboard, advanced notifications, improved voice search, and an improved camera.
During the update’s announcement, Motorola’s new CEO Dennis Woodside said that the update’s speedy turnaround is an indication of the “New Motorola” and that faster updates would become a major new focus. Now if only Verizon would take the same approach.
