Another month, more Android distribution numbers. This month it looks like Android 4.0 is the start of the show, as it made some serious headway and is now on a quarter of all Android devices with 25.8%. While it’s only up about two percent from last month, it’s still nice to say that a somewhat recent version of Android is holding a good place in the market. Next up is Jelly Bean. which currently runs on 2.7% of devices. That may not seem like a lot, but it’s up a percent from the month prior.
Gingerbread still holds the majority of devices, with about 53%. It’s slowly decreasing, but the number is still dominant in the charts. Honeycomb holds 1.8% of devices, and Froyo still holds a decent 12%. Rounding things off, 2.1 Eclair holds 3.1%, with 1.6 Donut and 1.5 Cupcake holding 0.3% and 0.1%, respectively. It’s always fun to see the latest Android numbers, and hopefully Android 4.2 will makes its debut on there next month.
