Transparency Bug In Apps On Secondary User Accounts Discovered In Android 4.2
Let’s add another bug to a growing list of problems with Android 4.2 and up. You probably already know about all the reports of random reboots, lag, inoperable Bluetooth, and the such. One bug was fixed in 4.2.1, and that’s Decembergate. However, the rest remain, and now we know about a brand new one.
This only applies to secondary accounts that have an app that the primary account does not. In the example set by Android Police, Osmos was launched and became transparent. This is how Osmos is supposed to look like:
This only affects the splash screen of this app, but other apps have their functionality affected. This only applies to user accounts that aren’t the main one, but applies both with the Nexus 7 and Nexus 10. It pretty much must be a software problem.
Have you ever experienced this bug? What were the circumstances? Tell us in the comments!
