Google Allows Free Calls Through Gmail For Another Year For US And Canada Users
Google Voice users in the US and Canada know that they can make free calls to others through either Voice or Gmail over the internet. It’s been a wonderful service that’s been completely free, surprisingly. It was only supposed to last until 2010, but every year they’ve extended the deadline. This year is no different, with Google announcing that the service will be free for another year, so all you Voice users can enjoy it for another year. Do any of you call others through Google Voice? Leave a comment!

I hope it stays free. I give it to people who I don't want to have my cellular number. While I probably still use my cellular number more for calls, I use the Google Voice service mainly for the majority of my texting because I only get 300 messages through my carrier. Hopefully that doesn't go away or start to cost extra to use.
