A new report published by Distimo has given us some information about the app stores of the two biggest mobile operating systems, but the information is something we already knew. First of all, Google Play is growing a lot faster than the Apple App Store. Google Play’s daily revenue grew 43% in the last four months. The App Store’s daily revenue only grew 21%, less than half of Google’s. Of course, that’s not the whole story. The App Store has $15 million in average daily revenue, while the Play Store paled in comparison with only $3.5 million. It’s a very different market, and that shows in the revenue difference. What do you guys think? What’s the reason for such a revenue difference? And does it affect developers? Tell us your thoughts in the comments!
