Google Search Trial Searches Gmail For Your Receipts And Reservations

Google is testing out some new features in its search engine. You will now be able to find your receipts, track packages, and view hotel and restaurant reservations all through the search field.

There are certain parameters that you have to type in order to search for those information:

  • [my purchases] will let you find your latest purchases, such as Amazon purchases, and track your packages.
  • [my hotel reservation] will let you search up hotel reservations.
  • [my restaurant reservations] will let you search upcoming restaurant reservations if you booked through OpenTable.
  • [my events] will allow you to view information about your upcoming events through various portals such as Ticketmaster or Eventbrite.

This all seems Google Now-esque, but it’s still nice to see Google offering these features to those of us who don’t have access to Google Now yet.

Of course, you have to have a Gmail account to use these features. You will also have to sign up for the field trial in order to have access to these features.
