For those of you that remember, a few months back there were a few rumors about HTC’s next superphone, the Butterfly. The phone was eventually announced, but as an exclusive device that was only available on Verizon Wireless. Well, it looks like HTC is getting ready to release their international variant of the phone, going by the originally leaked name of HTC Butterfly.
Specs appear to be identical to the DROID DNA, with the 5-inch 1080p screen, 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM. The only difference we can spot is the branding; this version doesn’t feature any Verizon logos on it. As far as carriers go, we’re not sure at this time. We’re sure that it’ll be making its way across the pond to Europe, and quite possibly north to Canada. We doubt that any other carriers in the States will see the phone, Verizon seems to have it locked down pretty tight.
Anyone in Europe or Canada interested in the Butterfly? Is it too big to be a conventional phone?
