Photo sharing social network Instagram recently decided to change its terms of service, with revisions that suggested the company may begin to sell users pictures to companies. Why anyone would buy the filter-destroyed photos, we may never know, but more than a few users reacted in a less than positive way. Instagram is now going back on their word, and is reverting their terms of service to the original version.
This is both good and bad for a number of reasons. On the bright side, there isn’t any direct part that states Instagram will be selling pictures from the service. There’s a downside though, as the new version was much more specific; the original is much more broad, allowing the company more wiggle room for what it can and can’t do. Anyone planning to or already left Instagram?
