Did you ever wonder if the Kindle Fire UI was suitable for phones? Did you ever want to try it out, see what it’s like to live without the Play Store? If you’re a Nexus S owner, this could be your chance. An XDA member named GalaxyUser has ported the entire Kindle Fire HD 8.9 ROM to his Nexus S and released it publicly.
You should not worry about bugs. Trivial things like camera, Bluetooth, sound, and call functionality shouldn’t matter when you are proudly running a UI made for a high resolution tablet on an old WVGA phone.
In all seriousness, this is not a functional ROM and we suspect it was made just for the hell of it. Don’t flash it unless you know what you’re doing, and do so at your own risk. Be careful! And…. enjoy the Amazon Appstore?
