Samsung Audio Dock Leaked, Offers Many Connectivity Options

When it comes to Android docks, the market is very sparse. There are Bluetooth speakers, but some people want to just plug their phone into a dock and forget about it. Samsung seems to be creating one of these docks, as SamMobile has leaked images of it. The unique thing about this dock is that it offers three different ways of connecting your phone: Bluetooth 3.0, 3.5mm in, and a micro USB port you can just stick your phone on. Of course, your phone must support audio out through micro USB, but Samsung devices support it. Even if it doesn’t, you can use Bluetooth and have the USB port charge your device. Here are some more specs:

  • USB Audio Class
  • Universal dock station
  • Bluetooth version 3.0
  • Power: 6W (3W x 2)
  • Power volume button
  • Charging Port
  • 3.5mm Audio Plug-in

The dock should come in three colors: black, red, and silver. It should be announced either at CES or MWC, so within the next two months. Hopefully the sound is good and the price is low, as this is a very promising accessory. Would you get one?

Yes, very interested.  I've been looking for one & the only "android" specific docks are lacking in any sound & build quality.  Price would determine how deep of a dent into the market they can get for sales.

Isn't THIS interesting! It would be great for my hair salon in Atlanta! I have about a month before my AT&T contract runs out and I want a phone on 4GLTE. This one might be it!

I'd probably snap this one up in a heartbeat!!... like you said, docks for Android phones are very sparse and I find it hard to find one that suits my needs (though that's part of the blessing /curse of Android... For variety, you sacrifice universality)  This would solve all my problems. I can finally dock my SIII without having run an AUX cord to my other (ipod) dock. and should I get another phone in the future, I suppose I could always connect it via bluetooth if it doesn't fit.

To add to your statement about the price and sound being right (particularly sound, since I'm a HUGE audiophile) is I hope the micro connector isn't as flimsy as it appears to be on the official SIII dock!! Sometimes I feel that thing is going to break or fall off it's connection when I reach to operate my phone!
