According to XperiaBlog, the highly rumored Sony Yuga will be renamed to ‘Sony Xperia Z’. This blog in the past correctly predicted that the Sony Hayabusa would actually be released as the Sony Xperia TX.
The rumors of the Sony Xperia Z being dust and water proof have been reinforced. The device has water and dust ratings of IP55 and IP57. The Xperia Z will also feature OptiContrast technology in its 5-inch display, which will help reduce reflection thanks to its special resin coating. The special resin coating absorbs any diffused light that is delivered through the backlight.
The other rumored specs are still the same:
- 5-inch 1080p display
- Samsung Exynos 5 quad-core processor
- 3GB RAM
- 16MP camera
- 3000 mAh battery
- 128GB Internal Storage
We’re three weeks away from finding out this device’s real capabilities.
