If you own a Samsung Galaxy S III on US Cellular, you’re in luck. Right after the last of the four major carriers updated their S III to Jelly Bean, regional carrier US Cellular joins the ranks. Starting Friday, the Galaxy S III will be receiving an update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
With Jelly Bean, you get wonderful additions such as Google Now, Project Butter, expandable notifications, and more. However, since you’re getting 4.1 with TouchWiz on top, there is a lot more to look forward to. With Blocking Mode, improved Pop Up Play, a bunch of camera enhancements, new keyboard options, and more, you’ll be getting a lot of worth from this update.
The update will start on Friday, December 21st, and will be available as both an Over The Air update and through Kies, if you want to go that route. For more information, hit the source links. The first links to the 4.0.4 update, but will link to the 4.1 update come Friday.
