If you have been waiting for Koush to implement non-root backups into his Carbon app, today is your lucky day. Carbon beta has been updated once again, and it includes an option to back up without root using a desktop application on your computer. This allows you to back everything up before unlocking a bootloader, which generally wipes a device. It can also be used for safety, in case you lose your device. Either way, it’s a great option for those who are not rooted.
The beta is on its last legs, with the final version coming before January is over. There will be both free and paid versions, which you’ll need because the beta expires on the 30th. So use it while you await the final version.
